Become a Resident

Every family eventually faces the difficult decision of what to do when a loved one is no longer able to live alone because they need personal care and assistance that no one in the family is in a position to provide. Gloria's House welcomes older adults who need assistance with their activities of daily living and those who are simply tired of doing life’s daily chores, such as cooking, cleaning and laundry, and want to socialize with people of similar interests. If you are interested in joining our community, our five step admissions process is as follows:

Step 1: Contact Jayson Cantu, our General Manager: The first step in becoming a resident is speaking with Jayson Cantu, our Owner/General Manager. He can answer your questions about Gloria's House and schedule a tour of our residence. His telephone number is 206-557-8400.

Step 2: Tour Gloria's House: We invite, and encourage, everyone who is interested in living at Gloria's House, and their families, to tour our residence. It’s important that our new residents feel comfortable about their decision to join our family. A tour is a wonderful way for everyone involved in the decision-making process to get to know us.

Step 3: Gather Resident Information:

An important part of the admissions process is the assessment. Every resident will meet with a Registered Nurse who will create the state required assessment, then with our Resident Manager, Katherine. We gather a lot of information at this step such as care needs, wants, needs, likes and dislikes. We use all the information gathered to make sure we can care for you, and train our staff. Before your move in date we will have some of your favorite foods incorporated into our meal plan, some of your favorite activities ready, special room accommodations set up, and prepared to meet any and all medical needs you may have.

Step 4: Complete our Paperwork: We will walk you through the paperwork that includes our Residency Agreement, your monthly costs, and some policies. We will have the majority of the paperwork prepared for you and are available to review and answer any questions you may have.

Step 5: Sign Your Residency Agreement and Move-In: Once we have reviewed and approved your admissions documentation, you’re ready to sign, pick a move in date and make Gloria's House your new home!
